iphone unlocked vs. jailbroken and using over seas?

So I live in China, but iphones in the US are actually cheaper than here in China. So, I want to buy an iphone in the US and bring it here to China. However, I think it has to be unlocked or jailbroken. Is there a difference between these two things? To use in China does the phone have to be both, or can it just be “factory unlocked”? Does anyone know?

Do you think what happened to me is fair? Why are US prisons so brutal? Why is it all about torture not rehab?

I’d like to first start with the fact that I in the past was not against cops or people in law, but now I trully hate them all, I got sent to prison, for something very minor, and the prisons in this country feel like the ones in a third world country.

What I did to get sent to prison was wrong, but punishement should just be about taking freedom not torture or basic human rights.

I’m 24 years old and about 2 years and a half ago I was at a bar drinking with some of my friends, I had a lot to drink and afterwards I decided to drive home drunk, it was a stupid and selfish mistake I agree, but well to go on, while I was driving home, mind you although I was drunk I wasn’t driving that bad, I saw a police light that was trying to pull me over, well I panicked, and since I was drunk, I decided to try to lose the cop (I at the time was afraid to get a DUI for my insurance), well I sped up and he chased me, I kept speeding away, until there were 2 cop cars chasing me, and then what happened next was horrible (geez they were so stupid they should have just let me go), 2 cop cars were at a street I was coming up on I guess forming a road block, so as I was coming up on that street at around 60 miles an hour, I didn’t try to stop. So I crashed into one of the police cars. Soon after, I tried running away on foot and I got tazed.

I got arrested and taken to jail. 2 days later they told me I got charged with- Felony DUI with minor injury, failure to stop for blue light, resisting arrest, and ATTEMPTED MURDER! I couldn’t believe it! ATTEMPTED MURDER! apparantly me driving into the police car was considered that! the officer just broke his arm and 2 ribs in the crash, but meanwhile I was sitting in the county jail with charges that could get me like 50 years in prison.

Initially I was denied bond but my parents got me one of the best lawyers in the state and a judge granted my a bond of 100,000 dollars, my parents paid 10% through a bail bondsman and I was released. Afterwards my nightmare started.

During the course of the year, my lawyer managed to get the attempted murder charge dropped along with some others. I ended up getting a plea bargain to plead guilty to DUI and failure to stop for blue light. Part of the plea bargain was that the prosecutor would ask for leniency. Well the judge didn’t care and sentenced me to 1 year in state prison, with credit for time served of 28 days and good time. Along with 6 months house arrest afterwards and to pay for the officer’s medical bills.

Then my nightmare started, the prisons in my state are horrible. Initially I spent 2 weeks in the county jail awaiting transfer, then it came. I was taken to an “evaluation center” where they said from there I would be a assigned a prison to go to for the remainder of my sentence. Once I got there, I got my hair and beard completely shaved, I had to endure a cavity search and I got put in a cell, and by cell I mean I got put in a cell with 2 other men and I had to sleep on the floor WITH NO MATRESS OR PILLOW!!!!. There I learned that in the evaluation center we were locked down 23 HOURS A DAY! so it was like solitary except having to share it with 2 other guys, and the meals were horrific and only 2 a day, we got only 2 showers a week, a phone call a month (I never got mine), and my clothes were too small for me. The evaluation center was only supposed to me for 30 days but I was there in those conditions, locked down 23 hours a day FOR 56 DAYS! There was no AC, and I had to share that cell, I thought I was going to die of starvation, thirst and heat exaustion, and it didn’t help that my cellmates enjoyed smoking all day in that small cell.

Afterwards, I got moved to a medium security prison (ridiculous, I was a minimum security inmate), there it wasn’t so bad, but it was still terrible. The food was horrible and they didn’t allow much visitation (during my whole stay I only got 5 visits)

The prison was much better than the evaluation center, but it still sucked, there were a lot of fights and the whole atmosphere was terrible, but luckily I didn’t get into any fights.

I ended up getting released after 215 Days, that was 4 weeks ago, and now I’m in my 6 months house arrest. All I practically do all day is watch TV, get drunk off cheap vodka my parents bring me and smoke cigarettes.

Now tell me- did I deserve this? I practically was put in solitary for almost 2 months, in extreme heat, and with almost no food, almost no showers and not even a bed! How is this justice?

What about human rights? Prison is supposed to be about rehabilitation not torture, granted this happened in a southern state filled with convervative hicks but still.

I had no criminal record AT ALL. Why was I even sent to prison? why not probation? What is wrong with this country and it’s legal system? Why is all law enforcement so bigoted?

Can I convert an EFI car to use a Carburator? WHAT DO I need?

Ive got a 1986 Ford Escort that was converted from EFI to Carb. Its a 1.9L engine. The car was running awefull, rough idle, no acceleration…very poor one. Hesitation, Knocking etc. Ive noticed that the spark plug wires where stripped, and the spark plugs where oil wet or gasoline wet. This job was done 15 years ago. I was a child with no interest in cars…

So a year ago, one day a friend borrowed me a battery so that I could warm up the car, once a month…the battery didnt had positive or negative label. I was lazy and didnt wanted to get a voltmeter to see which was which…so, I did the dumbest thing ever, connect the battery terminals the worng way! positive to negative and negative to positive.

While cranking the engine. I heard a loud spark and some smoke coming from the engine bay…

After that stupid act, I went and tried to bench test the starter with another battery…and didnt move a bit. So, maybe the starter is out…and possibly the alternator.

So finally, if I want to restore the car, and leave it with a carburator, should I be concerned by the EFI computer after connecting the battery backwards?

I just want the car to start, and run…

What things should the car have in good condition so that it may run with a carburator?

Im guessing, starter, alternator, fuel pump, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, and a good sealed engine—-> cylinder head, intake manifold, o rings etc, exhaust system.

And things that I dont need…all the fuel emission components….sensors and stuff like that…

Do caburators need the EFI computer? or any other electronic systems when they are converted from EFI—-> carb?

note: I want to sell the car because its taking space…

Citroen Relay van blowing fuses. Help?

Our Relay van (2009). has now blown a large 30a fuse upon trying to start on 4 occasions- over a period of months. With the fuse blown, lights, central locking etc work but there are no dash warning lights and no starter.
Any Citroen Techs (or Fiat / Peugeot – same van) know of a problem this could be ? – It’s only just out of warranty.

I am wanting to know what my doctor will do. I am going to him in two weeks because I believe I have a bursted hemorrhoid that is causing lots of bright red blood in the toilet when I have a bowel movement and sharp pain.
