How do I take a long exposure photo with a Canon Rebel xs?

I am not very good with understanding cameras, so would you be able to go through a step by step process? Thank you, very much appreciated!

I am trying to take a self portrait in the dark with a laser pointer, so it would only be long exposure for a few seconds

5mw green laser in my eye?

I just received one of the ebay 5mw greenlasers and i accidentally shined it in my eye this morning at around 7:20 am it is now close to 3 hours later and every time i blink i can see a black dot and when i close my other eye and try to read something it is blank where the dot is, is this temporary it was only on my eye for about a second and its the low 5 mw laser will this go away soon or will i have permanent eye damage?

i was in Cincinnati yesterday for the show and right when the lights dimmed and the green lazers came on they played a song similar to the kill by 30 seconds to mars. That was the closest thing i could think of to it and it might have also been on a guitar hero game.
but i dont remeber the name or the words of the songs, but i know i really liked it.

I need to find things to sell in high school. I am too busy for a job: I play soccer and have difficult classes this year. I currently sell food and watches in school. Any ideas of other things that high school students would be willing to pay for? Selling school supplies will not work. Would it be helpful to sell laser pointers?

Where can I get a green laser that\’s bright at night?

I’ve checked Wicked and Dragon Lasers. Their products seem very similar.Anyother places where I can get a bright green laser for a decent price. Price isn’t really an issue, but keep it reasonable. I’m not looking to spend over $200. I’m not concerned about burning ability, I just want visual appeal. I bought a 200mw green laser off of amazon for $20, but it was chinese and broke quickly.
