Directories turned into files on memory stick?

Bought a new memory stick to transfer files from laptop to PC.

Cut and moved two directories named hols and video, there are sub directories also, on to the memory stick,

The directories changed to files named hols and video of 16 kb in size.

I can see from properties that the data is still on the disk and I have run check disk, virus checkers and defrag. Defrag will only complete 83%.

I have used some commercial software which says it can rescue the data, but it is $69.

I am not really bothered about rescuing the data as most of it I backed up previously but it is bugging me what has happened and I would like to fix it.

how do i get my iphone to connect to my tv so i can watch files on my tv from the phone etc iv plugged it in using usb then my tv needed updating so i downloaded the sofware on to a usb memory stick but when i have that in my tv the tv isnt finding the file on the usb stick

here, for the vita offer, im planning to trade in my ds games, ds lite, and psp3000, and a memory stick to gamestop. First of all, i am new to gamestop, so i am not familiar with the concept of credits. Do you have to make an account to gain credits? How are they going to remember me if i comeback later? Can anyone tell me anything ihave to know before I go, and the basics of gamestop? Thanks.

Can i put music on an ipod without itunes/internet?

I’m planning to get an ipod touch but have no internet access so would be unable to use itunes. i have bought music in the past, which is saved on my computer. would i be able to use the ipod by just copying the files on a computer, or is itunes necessary? the other possibility would be to get one of these devices which resemble memory sticks to use the internet and use itunes on that, but i could only do that until the first payment ran out as i would not be able to top it up every month. any suggestions?

Why won\’t my Sony PSP read certain memory cards?

I have a first generation PSP with the latest software upgrade that I’ve been using with no issues for quite some time. I’ve also had a Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo 1GB that i’ve been using but recently bought an 8GB one. The psp wont read it. Tried different cards, a 4gb one among others formatted all of em before use as well but they dont seem to work. But my old is stil fine and the psp reads it as well as the original 64mb one it came with. Anyone have any ideas why this is so? Thanks in advance.
