GUYS/ from your perspective what does this mean? Serious Answers only!!?

So i have a friend that was in the school newpaper with me last semester who i never really see around campus only on rare occasions, but something struck a cord with me about 2-3 weeks ago.

So i was sitting outside of my school waiting for my ride, when he came out of know where and said hello and hugged me, we chit-chatted for a while,

i then joked about the awkward silence, and how we both agreed “we hated it when u run out of things to say to a person”, we giggled, and he told me to get up, and come meet his friend, who was a girl that was in a part of the talent show at the time that he was also in.

We followed her, and i joked that we were stalking her, he laughed and i ran around some plants saying that we needed to make it interesting and go thru some bushes, if we were gonna stalk he, he laughed and said “ur a little troublemaker arent u?”

when we caught up with his friend i shook her hand and introduced myself, and he said to her :yeah, this is my friend she’s kinda shy but she’s cool” or something to that effect, and was just looking at me and smiling when he said it, i told him id see him around and to have a good time at the talent show,

a couple of days go by and, suddenly he was on I.M. which he never is, so i struck up a conversation and eventually he said that “i was smarter then most of the girls her knew, and that i was gonna go farther then them”

now almost a week ago i was inbetween my two friends who were talking,

one of them who he knew,

he cuts into there conversation, hugs me first, then stands there for a second, kinda avoiding eye contact with me, then hugs my friend goodbye, then gives me a second hug, and may or may not have looked back after that.

Now today, i was in our old newspaper class when he opened the door but stayed in the hallway, when my friend who he knew came to go say hello to him, when he and her gestured that he had something for me, when i got up to see him he gave my this water bottle w/ a flower in it and told me to look inside it, and he said it was “his gift to me” when he gave it to me he looked me up and down and had a smile on his face, i was so shocked i asked him if “i could get a hug “and then we hugged and he left.

I told all this to my older male cousin, and immediately he said he liked me, and that if a guy likes u, he will not toy around.

I then proceeded to tell him that he is a bit of a pothead kinda, likes jimi hendrix, kinda guy and my cousin’s answer changed a bit,

saying it could be him just being overly pot-head friendly, which i was bummed about but is that really true? And also that, im trying to talk to him now via facebook which he’s never on, but how else i should get in contact w/ him?
