Phone/Internet line technician?

We recently switched internet & phone providers but the former provider, Execulink, had a VoIP setup, while the new provider, Bell, has a direct line. Apparently the house lines need to be changed and we have no idea how to do this, hoping to hire a phone technician/contractor. I’m not sure what the official title is for this, so I was hoping to find some answers here. I need someone that lives (or can get to) Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario. Any info on this would help, like how to do it (in depth, step by step), or what the proper term for someone who does this is, where I can find someone who does this, etc.
