What aspect/placements would give up on something if they don’t get instant results?

What aspect/placements would give up on something if they don\’t get instant results?
For example; say they wanted to learn to play the guitar and they lose interest right away because they couldn’t do it like jimi hendrix lol
& which placements show the opposite? Someone who is persistent and able to follow through until it gets done?
